Dyslexia - Self-esteem
Through my experience over the past 15 years it has become clear that one of the main hurdles for individuals with dyslexia remains their confidence and often negative self-perception.
Reasons for this, I believe, are often a lack of understanding what dyslexia is and how it affects individuals. Indeed, knowing how your brain works often also provides an opportunity to understand your strengths, not only your weaknesses. My group and individual sessions focus on psycho-education, some therapeutic strategies to deal with adversity and become more resilient.
